Annual Dave&Dave Fishing Weekend

News from the latest Dave and Dave Annual Father-Son Cod Weekend

Rubin and Haskell, fathers and sons, spend a weekend cod and haddock fishing aboard Tuna Hunter Fishing Charters each year.

What a way to spend a weekend: reeling in cod, haddock and wolffish, a swim at the pool back at the marina, and fine dining a LobstaLand; Repeat.

Fellow Cape Ann Marina and Rockport , MA Captain Jules Boudreau received the 2007 AFTCO Tuna Flag Tagging Tournament Angler’s trophy, for tagging the most tuna as an Angler. Congratulations to Jules! A well earned honor for a seasoned and well-respected captain.

The award caps a remarkable bluefin season in which Tuna Hunter was able to tag and release over 40 school, medium and large bluefin, besides those retained by our charters. Bluefin under 73 inches may be retained by the charter, or tagged and released.

Tuna Hunter uses a variety of tags to support bluefin research, an important part of protecting our resource and our access to these magnificent fish.
